From the perspective of someone who’s bought, sold, used, and repaired numerous Windows-based PCs and laptops, the fact that Lenovo pre-loaded adware onto their PCs for years doesn’t surprise me. Every OEM does it. HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, everyone.
